ABOUT UAC
In Cameroon, almost one million children live on the streets. This is mostly owing to the region’s economic collapse in the late 1980s and early 1990s. When families struggle, Cameroon’s children suffer first, especially those from underprivileged and marginalised groups.
United Action for Children (UAC) aims to help street children and those who are at risk of dropping out of school return to and stay in school.
Children have access to a secure and stable environment through the organisation, where they may attend football training and get instruction about conflict resolution, HIV/AIDS, and basic educational programmes and career trainings in industries such as computing, woodworking, and more.
