ABOUT street Football World Festival 16
The festival was held at the SPORT DANS LA VILLE facilities Lyon France.
Organisations from around the world came together to celebrate the power of football. These organisations use the power of football as a magnet to drive change at a local community level.
The 70 strong delegation from 50 nations gave more than 400 participants from disadvantaged communities a unique opportunity to learn, to take part in a multicultural experience, and to truly comprehend football’s global reach and the scope of football which can be used for positive change.
Festival 16 was the largest-ever meeting of the streetfootballworld network, with 90 network members represented. The members use Football as a force for good by community organisations all around the world. Football is more than simply a game . It’s how community organisations transform people’s lives.
Football is a flexible instrument for improving lives, regardless of geographic area or social reason.

Attracting pollinators which in turn help with vegetable and plant growth used not just for food but also for medicines.

Trees are sometimes called the lungs of the Earth because they absorb pollutants through their leaves. Trees improve water quality, and reduce flooding and erosion.
Trees temper climate. Trees lower air temperatures and humidity; they can also influence wind speed. Evaporation of water from trees, or transpiration, has a cooling effect.
Kits for the World
Kits for the World is committed to help fighting the issue of climate change. To this end not only do we reuse and recycle football kits. We also look for the most sustainable way to transport football kits to our partner projects.
To offset this transaction we also are also looking to partner with charities that can help re-green planting trees and forests which play a crucial role in combating climate change and loss of biodiversity.
Kits for the world are also looking to partner with companies of electric vans to help assist in local collections of kit donations.
